hi im courtney and ill be your narrator, hehe
I know I said I wouldn't talk so much about the bigger and scarier things but I have been talking to a few friends. They say I should talk about different states in our country and their “monsters.” And so I have asked a friend which state I should start off with and they have said Florida. I have not only done my own research but have been told long and old from grandparents who have been there.
The St. Augustine Monster
The St. The Augustine monster is said to be a gigantic octopus. This beast as it was called by the people had stories of it. They said that this monster of an octopus was the reason they and their boat mates were having trouble catching anything. Others say they will never go at night for the fear of the octopus.
The first sighting was on November 30, 1896, by two young boys who were just riding their bikes around Anastasia Island. They had said the monster was half buried under the sand. There were more sightings after that. People report seeing a large octopus swimming around but nothing has come of it. Scientists say that when they had found the octopus it had been hurt badly by something larger. They say that it might have been a competitive and maybe even a larger octopus.
Short and sweet Thanks for reading my lovelies!!!
